I Need to Go It Alone
As I sit here amidst the echoes of silence,
Surrounded by faces familiar and yet so distant,
I ponder the bonds that tie, invisible and resistant.
Are you out there? Can you hear my heart’s insistence?
Can you see my posts, scattered leaves in the digital wind?
Do you understand the words, or do they simply blend
Into the background noise, where my echoes dim?
Do you care, or am I just a shadow to you, thin?
I see darkness where I hoped to find light,
I hear crickets where I sought advice to ignite.
In this vast void of silence, my plight
Seems to confirm my fear, my fight.
So maybe, just maybe, in this life’s expanse,
I need to go it alone, take that stance.
When calls for help echo back with no chance,
It’s clear, my path must advance without a glance.
I need to go it alone, through thick and thin,
For in the silence, my journey will begin.
With each step, let my resolve thicken,
To find my strength, my voice, within.
